DESPITE the lack of sufficient information, the public is beginning to sense the gravity of the situation the nation is facing. There is a growing national realization that their politicians are more concerned with consolidating power and acquiring wealth. There are no sound policies to mitigate the poor economic condition of the common people. There are no visible preparations for their safety and security despite the threat of foreign aggression intensifying by the day.
It is obvious that the nation requires a more responsive and competent leadership. But the present political system, other than being severely flawed, is also very restrictive when it comes to immediate regime change even when the nation truly needs one. The Philippines desperately needs to transition back to true democracy and restore that golden age of decent and competent leaders in its body politic. Will the Filipino nation rise to yet another revolution to finally achieve these?
