INFORMATION technology journalist Jose Maria Alarilla died on Saturday in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia, at the age of 52.

In a post on NewsBytes, Alarilla's wife, Ellen, said her husband succumbed to monomorphic epitheliotropic intestinal T cell lymphoma (MEITL), an extremely rare form of cancer. He was diagnosed with the disease on July 17, 2023.
