Paris 2024 on July 3, 2024 unveils the Olympics venue at the iconic Place de la Concorde, that will host the skateboarding street and park, BMX freestyle, breaking and basketball 3x3. Built over eight months by American skateparks design and building firm California Skateparks, the venue will welcome 25,000 spectators per day during the Games. All the structures will be removed after the Olympics but are meant to be used again in other events, with one of the BMX freestyle fields of play meant to be used in the 2027 UCI World Cycling Championships and the skateboarding street infrastructure set to be installed at another location near Paris. Skateboarding and basketball 3x3 made their first Olympic appearance during the Tokyo 2020 Games, while breaking is among the sports that will be introduced this year in Paris.
