THE Philippine Red Cross (PRC), under the leadership of former senator Richard Gordon, extended humanitarian aid to 804,323 beneficiaries in the first half of 2024, according to data from its operations center.
From January 1 to July 4, the PRC provided essential services such as potable water to 296,613 people and hot meals to 132,875 people, dispensed 131,223 units of blood, conducted health caravans benefiting 89,821, assisted 19,942 with emergency vehicles, vaccinated 18,935 individuals, administered 1,893 dialysis treatments, and constructed 71 shelters, among other initiatives.
