ARMED Forces Chief of Staff Gen. Romeo Brawner Jr. on Thursday said President Ferdinand Marcos Jr. has approved the acquisition of multi-role fighter (MRF) jets for the Philippine Air Force (PAF).

Speaking at the sidelines of the armed forces' second command conference in Camp Aguinaldo, presided over by the President, Brawner said there is no "final decision on what MRF we're going to buy, but definitely the President has already approved that intention to buy MRFs but as to which ones, and how many, no decisions yet."
