MANILA, Philippines — The intertropical convergence zone (ITCZ) is forecast to affect western sections of the country while the easterlies are affecting the eastern sections, according to the Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration (Pagasa).

In its early weather bulletin on Wednesday, Pagasa said as a result of the ITCZ, the Zamboanga Peninsula, Basilan, Sulu, Tawi-Tawi, and Palawan would experience cloudy skies with scattered rain showers and thunderstorms.
