IN response to the evolving technological demands of our times, the Commission on Human Rights (CHR) proudly introduces the Management Information System Monitoring Outlet or the CHR Mismo. This innovative webpage portal digitalizes the process of filing complaints and requests, making it easier and more accessible for Filipinos to seek assistance from CHR. The portal will be operational starting July 1.
CHR Mismo has been unveiled on May 13 during the Partners Summit, which was part of the Commission's 37th founding anniversary celebration.
Victims of human rights violations (HRVs) can now easily file complaints online by providing the necessary information for case assessment. Once submitted, the system automatically forwards the complaint to the appropriate CHR offices for review and action. Additionally, clients can track the status and progress of their cases in real time.
If clients are still confused about using the Mismo portal, they can click the "Need Help?" button to reach a Citizens' Help and Assistance Desk officer available 24/7. It also provides a wide range of additional services as outlined in the Citizen's Charter such as technical assistance, interview requests, accreditation for civil society organizations partnerships, clearance applications, and requests for data and statistics.
As the country's national human rights institution, CHR remains committed to its Constitutional mandate to protect and uphold the rights of all. In the face of rapid societal changes, the commission is steadfast in its pursuit of just, efficient and effective human rights services for all Filipinos.
The launch of CHR Mismo is a significant step forward in meeting these demands and ensuring that the Commission's services are more accessible to those who need them most.
