WHEN the all-new Ford Bronco was officially launched a few weeks ago, it caused quite a stir among enthusiasts and fans of the blue oval brand. After all, the sole variant Ford Philippines is bringing in is the Bronco Outer Banks trim with the Sasquatch Package, and it is far from under-specced. Luckily, it didn't take long for Ford to organize a media drive to showcase the legendary SUV in its natural element.

The testing ground was along the banks of the Sacobia River on the outskirts of Clark, Pampanga. The organizers carved out a course amid the quarried lahar. The track had dips, climbs and river crossings, alternating between water, mud, rocks and sandy surfaces — the perfect stage to highlight the capabilities of the mighty Bronco.
