OFWs told: Pick up unclaimed balikbayan boxes

MANILA, Philippines — A total of 294 balikbayan boxes, part of the more than 2,000 boxes abandoned by their forwarders last year after collecting money from overseas Filipino workers (OFWs) abroad, are still unclaimed at the Bureau of Customs (BoC) warehouse.

Customs Commissioner Bienvenido Rubio on Sunday called on migrant Filipino workers and their families to claim the 294 remaining balikbayan boxes currently in BoC custody.
