Wimbledon prepares to welcome tennis world
There was a flurry of activity at Wimbledon on June 28, 2024, as the All England Lawn Tennis Club prepares to host the third Grand Slam of the year. The steady thrum of balls being struck on the practice courts echoed around the grounds, while energetic workers and volunteers scurried around making last-minute alterations. With the draw completed in the morning, only the finishing touches have to be applied ahead of the grasscourt major, which runs from July 1-14.
