THE chairman of the House Ways and Means Committee has lauded the enactment of the law that would create an economic zone in the New Manila International Airport in Bulakan, Bulacan, whose earlier bill was vetoed by President Ferdinand Marcos Jr.

Republic Act 11999, which lapsed into law on June 13, creates the Bulacan Special Economic Zone Freeport or the Bulacan EcoZone and the creation of the Bulacan Special Economic Zone and Freeport Authority.
