US, Israel sorting out arms delivery conflict

WASHINGTON — The Israeli and United States governments said Wednesday they had made progress toward ironing out a rift over US weapons shipments after Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu publicly accused President Joe Biden's administration of slowing down deliveries.

Defense Minister Yoav Gallant met top US officials in Washington as he expressed hope for quietly working through disagreements with Israel's vital ally, drawing an implied contrast to Netanyahu's more confrontational approach.
