Over 160k receive land titles in Central Visayas

CEBU CITY — Central Visayas is close to completing all land acquisition and distribution to farmers, with the Department of Agrarian Reform in Region 7 (DAR-7) reporting over 90 percent completion, covering more than 190,000 hectares of land.

Director Leomides Villareal of DAR-7 said that only a small amount of land remains to be acquired. Once this final portion is secured, there will be no more land left to distribute, shifting the region's focus entirely to support services.
