Baguio presses ban on use of plastic

BAGUIO CITY — Mayor Benjamin Magalong reiterated his appeal to establishments, residents and visitors in the Summer Capital to seriously heed the city ordinance banning the use of plastic and styrofoam.

The City of Baguio passed Ordinance 35-17 (Plastic and Styrofoam-Free Baguio) after a recent finding that the prevalence of 'microplastics' have drastically increased in Asia and other parts of the world.
