A giant step in safeguarding Filipino workers' welfare in Kuwait

KUWAIT has lifted its ban on Filipino workers, ending a year of strained relations with the Philippines over recurring labor concerns.

The Arab Gulf country has long been a prime destination for Filipinos seeking jobs abroad. Close to 270,000 Filipinos worked there before the ban was imposed, about a third of them as domestic helpers.
