UST Journalism offers elective on digital literacy

THE Journalism Program of the University of Santo Tomas (UST) offers a new general education elective on digital literacy starting in Term 1 of Academic Year 2024-2025 to help address disinformation across disciplines.

The 'Digital Literacy, Fact-Checking and Verification' elective is initially offered to first-year journalism and legal management college students, and expansion in succeeding terms will be based on demand, Asst. Prof. Felipe Salvosa II, coordinator of the UST Journalism Program, said.
