MANILA, Philippines — Needing a helping hand, Gilas Pilipinas coach Tim Cone has tapped former PBA Best Import and current Far Eastern University head mentor Sean Chambers to join the national team's coaching staff.

Shorthanded in the absence of LA Tenorio and Josh Reyes, who is currently coaching the Gilas under-17 in the FIBA U-17 World Cup in Turkey, Cone admitted 'begging' Chambers to join his thin coaching staff as the Philippine squad prepares for the FIBA Olympic Qualifying Tournament set to fire off on July 3 in Riga, Latvia.
