Internet voting to boost OFW votes

THE Commission on Elections (Comelec) said it was confident that the implementation of the online voting and counting system (OVCS) would significantly increase the number of voters among Filipinos abroad.

'This is the Comelec's response to a big number of Filipinos abroad who don't cast their votes because they are far from the embassies or consulates, particularly Filipino seafarers,' Comelec Chairman George Erwin Garcia said on Tuesday after signing the OVCS contract.
