MACTAN, Cebu — The Department of Tourism (DoT) will host the first UN Tourism Regional Forum on Gastronomy Tourism for Asia and the Pacific on Wednesday in Cebu.
Gastronomy tourism has emerged as a key driver of tourist travel, with the World Food Travel Association estimating that over 80% of travelers look into food and drink when visiting a particular area and classifying more than half (53%) of those traveling as "culinary travelers."
