MANILA, Philippines — Taiwan Mustangs coach Chris Gavina took note of the solid ball movement of Gilas PIlipinas as a good sign for the national squad, which is over a week away from competing in the FIBA Olympic Qualifying Tournament in Riga, Latvia.
Gilas led from start to finish, save for some lapses in the second period, before closing out with a 74-64 triumph over a fighting Mustangs side that did not play former NBA stars Dwight Howard and Demarcus Cousins, along with former Golden State Warriors shooting guard Quinn Cook.
