MANILA, Philippines — Long-time Philippine women's national football teams manager Jefferson Cheng has stepped down from his post.

In a statement on Sunday, Cheng, who bankrolled and managed the Philippine women's team for seven years, said that his camp and the new Philippine Football Federation (PFF) management under chief John Gutierrez simply could not co-exist, leading to his resignation.
