MANILA, Philippines — Gilas Pilipinas leaned on its defensive energy and timely outside shooting from Justin Brownlee and Dwight Ramos to turn back the pesky Taiwan Mustangs, 74-64 in their tuneup game on Monday at the Philsports Arena.
Dwight Ramos led Gilas with 19 points, including nine in the third quarter where he and Brownlee joined hands in instigating a 17-3 blitz that allowed the national side to erect a 58-41 lead.
