CALAPAN CITY, Oriental Mindoro — Power consumers in the province are bracing for another increase in their electric bills as the Oriental Mindoro Electric Cooperative (Ormeco) announced that it will increase its tariff rates in June.

Ormeco General Manager Humphrey Dolor told The Manila Times that for residential consumers, the new rate would be P17.2917 per kilowatt-hour (kWh) or an increase of P2.6297, commercial consumers (P16.1820), industrial consumers (P15.7913), public buildings (P15.9030), and streetlights (P17.9931).
