Several names floated as next DepEd chief

LAWMAKERS and several groups have floated several names to replace Vice President Sara Duterte, who has abruptly resigned as secretary of the Department of Education (DepEd).

Duterte tendered her irrevocable resignation as education chief to President Ferdinand Marcos Jr. on June 19, ending much speculation, touching off a wave of speculation on why she did it.
