Ran Takahasi ruled out for rest of VNL Manila leg

MANILA, Philippines — Japan outside hitter and crowd favorite Ran Takahashi has been ruled out for the rest of the Men's Volleyball Nations League (VNL) Manila leg which ends on Sunday.

Takahashi, who played against Canada in Japan's opening game of this Manila leg last Tuesday when he scored 13 points, won't be around when the Japanese face the Netherlands on Friday at the Mall of Asia Arena as well as his team's last two games against France on Saturday and USA on Sunday.
