CAMP VICENTE LUKBAN, Catbalogan City, Samar — The 8th Infantry "Stormtroopers" Division (8ID) of the Philippine Army here welcomed the arrival of augmentation group at its headquarters on June 14 in efforts to decimate the rebels and bring peace to the area.
Capt. Jefferson Mariano, Division Public Affairs Office head, said that Brig. Gen. Perfecto Peñaredondo, 8ID assistant division commander, mentioned the arrival of the platoon marks a significant moment "as we unite our strength in the ongoing campaign to bring peace and stability in the region."
