THERE is no disagreement over the fact that the police serving warrants of arrest on anyone must always follow the law and must operate according to the approved manual of operations. Excessive force should be avoided, and maximum tolerance should be the standard operating procedure.

There are accusations made by the camp of Pastor Apollo Quiboloy, leader of the Kingdom of Jesus Christ (KOJC), that the serving of the arrest warrants against him and five other co-accused was implemented with the undue exercise of excessive force. The warrants were in connection with cases that included charges of child prostitution, sexual abuse, and acts of neglect, abuse, cruelty or exploitation that were already deemed to have met the standards of probable cause as determined by the justice system.
