MANILA, Philippines — Amid the void left by the sudden resignation of Vice President Sara Duterte from her post as Education secretary, a group of teachers on Thursday laid down its preferred qualifications for her replacement.
Teachers' Dignity Coalition (TDC) said that the Education secretary must not be a political individual, but rather an educator who better understands the plight of public school teachers.
