MANILA, Philippines — Philippine flag bearers and boxers Carlo Paalam and Nesthy Petecio will wear the exquisite barongs designed by Francis Libiran in the opening ceremony of the Paris Olympics on July 26.
The Philippine Olympic Committee on Wednesday posted photos of the barong crafted from piña-jusi fabric and featuring a detachable silk organdy sling with embroidered sun rays and Pintados-inspired warrior patterns.
