THE Department of Migrant Workers (DMW) assured Filipino seafarers and their families of its commitment to assisting those jailed or criminalized overseas.
DMW Secretary Hans Leo Cacdac acknowledged the complexities involved, including geopolitical tensions and unsafe working conditions, during the fireside chat part of a Maritime Forum hosted by The Manila Times on June 14 at the Kingsford Hotel.
