Angeles City, Pampanga - Seasoned woodpusher Andrew Elpedes swept his game assignments and scored 5.0 points to rule the Institute of Integrated Electrical Engineers of the Philippines (IIEE) Pampanga Independence Day chess tournament held here at the Best Western Plus Metro Clark Hotel on Wednesday.
Elpedes opened his campaign with a win over Ryan Dimayuga then followed it with victories over IIEE National Past President Engr. Allan Anthony Alvarez, Candidate Master Genghis Imperial, Engr. Michael Suacillo and Noel Jay Estacio.
