WHEN Filipinos hear the word 'father,' what comes to mind? 'Hay naku, tanong mo kay Mommy.' 'Malayo sa bituka yan.' 'Pag-iisipan ko.'

This is just a glimpse of the typical Filipino tatay, itay, daddy, papa, papang, ama and amang, among others.
