Fajardo season-high powers SMB past Meralco, ties series at 2-2

MANILA, Philippines — A gritty San Miguel Beer played like a team on a mission as it pulverized Meralco, 111-101 to tie their PBA Philippine Cup title series at 2-2 on Independence Day at the Smart Araneta Coliseum.

June Mar Fajardo, who won his precedent-smashing 10th Best Player of the Conference award, fired a season-high 28 points and hauled down 13 rebounds to lead the Beermen's charge and allowed his team to avoid falling in a 1-3 series hole.
