Pier restored, Gaza aid deliveries resume

(UPDATE) GAZA STRIP, Palestinian Territories — Humanitarian assistance started flowing into the Gaza Strip on Saturday through a reconstructed pier, US military forces said.

The wharf, built by the US military to boost the delivery of badly needed relief supplies, was only briefly operational before it was damaged by a storm last May. After repairs, the pipeline was rebuilt on Friday.
