THE Philippine Institute of Volcanology and Seismology (Phivolcs) said on Friday that it has recorded an increase in sulfur dioxide (SO2) gas emission over Taal Volcano in Batangas province.
Currently under Alert Level 1 status, the volcano has registered a total of 11,072 tons per day of SO2 gas emission from its main crater since June 6, 2024.
