Boeing's new Starliner spacecraft, carrying NASA astronauts Barry 'Butch' Wilmore and Sunita 'Suni' Williams, successfully docked with the International Space Station (ISS) on June 6, 2024 (June 7 in Manila). During the post-docking news conference, mission managers from NASA and Boeing said this key event marked a significant test of the vessel's capabilities, amidst minor technical issues including a helium leak and some thruster failures. Despite these challenges, the spacecraft autonomously completed its docking during its orbit 250 miles above the Earth.
