More soldiers sent to EVisayas to fight NPA

CAMP LUKBAN, Catbalogan City, Samar — The 8th Infantry 'Stormtroopers' Division (8ID) of the Philippine Army welcomed the arrival of the 2nd Howitzer Platoon, Bravo Company, 3rd Field Artillery Battery, Armor Artillery Regiment in Eastern Visayas on May 31, 2024.

Capt. Jefferson Mariano, Division Public Affairs Office chief, said the additional soldiers will serve as support troops for the Joint Task Force Storm and the 8ID in its campaign to totally eradicate the local communist insurgency in Region 8.
