MANILA, Philippines — San Beda University ace tanker Albert Jose Amaro II contributed another medal for Philippine swimming team after winning a bronze in the 13th Asean Schools Games on Wednesday night in Da Nang, Vietnam.Amaro checked in at 25.45 seconds — good enough to earn a spot in the boys' 50m butterfly podium.Indonesian bets Master Ganesha and Yusuf Jason Donovan completed a 1-2 punch with the former registering 24.81 seconds for gold and the latter taking home the silver with a time of 24.84 seconds.On the final day of the competition, Amaro will be gunning for another medal after earning a spot in the boys' 50m freestyle finals.It was Philippine swimming team's second medal in this year's edition of the multi-sporting event.World Juniors Championships veteran Micaela Jasmine Mojdeh of Brent International School-Manila bagged the first medal — a bronze in girls' 100m butterfly.Mojdeh hopes to add another feather to her cap when she plunges into action in the 200m butterfly event.'The field is really tough but I'll do my best to win medal for our country, for our teammates and for our parents. Hoping for the best,' said Mojdeh on the eve of her 18th birthday.In the premilinary round, Mojdeh had two minutes and 21.75 seconds to advance to the eight-swimmer finals slated on Thursday night.Joining her in that event is Kyla Louise Bulaga who had a qualifying time of 2:27.79.Also securing finals berths in their respective events are Shania Joy Baraquiel (girls' 50m backstroke), Eric Jaccob Umali (boys' 50m backstroke), and Shiblon Montera and Paolo Miguel Labanon (boys' 200m butterfly).
