Alas Pilipinas suffers second loss in AVC tilt

(UPDATE) ALAS Pilipinas' podium hopes are gone after suffering back-to-back heartaches as they bowed down to host Bahrain via sweep, 18-25, 23-25, 20-25, in the Asian Volleyball Confederation (AVC) medal quest in Isa Town on Tuesday.

The world-ranked 61st Philippines opened its campaign with a loss against the world-ranked 31st China, then absorbed a defeat from the 65th Bahrain.
