Marcos signs law doubling public teachers' allowance

(UPDATE) PRESIDENT Ferdinand Marcos Jr. on Monday signed into law a measure that increases the annual teaching allowance for public school teachers.

Republic Act 11997, also known as the Kabalikat sa Pagtuturo Act, provides the increase of teaching allowance from P5,000 to P10,000 beginning school year 2025-2026.
