Paalam nears second Olympic appearance

TOKYO silver medalist Carlo Paalam advanced to the semifinals of the 2nd World Olympic Qualification Tournament after dominating Dominican Republic's Jose Luis de los Santos, 5-0, late Friday at the Hua Mak Indoor Stadium in Bangkok, Thailand.

Paalam must win in the semifinals to automatically earn a spot in the Paris Olympics.
