WATCH: ICRC: Threat of new pandemic emergency 'real'
The International Federation of Red Cross and Red Cresecent Societies releases the World Disasters Report 2022 during a forum in Makati City on May 30, 2024. The report noted that the threat of a new pandemic emergency was 'real' and that countries should be prepared and more centered on 'trust, equity, and local action." Among the speakers were UN Resident Coordinator for the Philippines Gustavo Gonzalez, Philippine Red Cross Chairman and CEO Richard Gordon, and IFRC President Kate Forbes.
