(UPDATE) FILIPINO Olympic pole vaulter Ernest John "EJ" Obiena went through a series of problems with regard to transporting his poles and ended up seventh place at the Ostrava Golden Spike in the Czech Republic on Wednesday.
The Paris Olympics-bound Obiena could only clear 5.52 meters (m) as he failed to match his bronze medal finish in last year's edition of the tournament.
