12 dead in quarry collapse in India

GUWAHATI, India — Torrential rains in the wake of a powerful cyclone caused a quarry in India's northeastern Mizoram state to collapse, killing 12 people, government officials said on Tuesday.

'So far, 12 bodies have been found. We are looking for more,' Nazuk Kumar, deputy commissioner of Aizawl district, told Agence France-Presse (AFP).
