WATCH: PH bags bronze, makes history in AVC Challenge Cup
Sisi Rondina reveals she initially declined to join Alas Pilipinas in the AVC Challenge Cup for Women. But a change of heart proved to be just right as she became part of the Philippine team that won its first-ever bronze medal, beating Australia in straight sets -- 25-23, 25-15, 25-7 -- at the Rizal Memorial Coliseum on May 29, 2024. Rondina fired 13 points, including the bronze-clinching cross court hit. Overall, the Philippines tallied a 5-1 win-loss card in the tourney, losing only to Kazakhstan in the semifinals.
