Alas Pilipinas whips Iran, enters AVC Challenge Cup semis for first time

MANILA, Philippines — Alas Pilipinas whipped Iran, 25-16, 25-13, 25-15, to secure its first-ever semifinals entry in the AVC Challenge Cup for Women at the Rizal Memorial Coliseum on Saturday, May 25.

The home team rose to a 3-0 slate in the 5-team Pool A, securing a top two finish which merits a Final Four slot.
