TUGUEGARAO CITY – The Department of Environment and Natural Resources-Cagayan Valley has encouraged communities and local officials in three Isabela coastal towns to be vigilant to preserve the Northern Sierra Madre Natural Park (NSMNP).
DENR-Cagayan Valley regional executive director Gwendolyn Bambalan has called on the people of Palanan, Maconacon and Divilican towns to continuously safeguard the NSMNP, which is one of the Philippines' largest protected areas covering 360,000 hectares and boasting diverse forest ecosystems.
