PhilRice distributes rice seeds to Lanao farmers

CAGAYAN DE ORO CITY — Thirteen Lanao del Norte municipalities received 21,499 bags of certified inbred seeds from the Department of Agriculture (DA) on Tuesday.

In a statement, the provincial government said it accepted the assistance under the Rice Competitiveness Enhancement Fund (RCEF) program, particularly the seed program that is spearheaded by the Philippine Rice Research Institute (PhilRice), an agency under the DA.
