ILOILO CITY – The National Commission for Culture and the Arts (NCCA) is looking to investigate the circumstances behind the demolition of the 80-year-old art deco façade of the Iloilo Central Market.
Dr. Ivan Anthony Henares, one of the board of commissioners of the NCCA and the secretary-general of the Philippine National Commission for Unesco, said they will look into whether or not the city government received proper approval to demolish the tower which was allegedly found to be structurally unsound.
