Escaping the heat

WITH this summer's record-breaking heat, climbing a degree Celsius during some days, you would want nothing more than to get away to a cool place, literally. Thankfully, a barkada trip to celebrate a friend's birthday was coming up, set in the summer capital of the country. So, Honda Cars Philippines lent me a Honda BR-V 1.5 V CVT for this weekend trip, which served as the gang's shuttle to escape the hellish metropolis.

We left Manila on a Friday night after all of us closed the busy work week. From my office in Carmona, Cavite, I went to our meet-up point in Quezon City. After packing our luggage and settling ourselves in the BR-V, we hit the road with the MPV hauling six adults and bags good for the whole weekend.
